Responses to Government Requests for Information

A request for information (RFI) is a formal communication issued by an organization or agency, such as when the National Institutes of Health (NIH) requests input, comments, and suggestions from a wide variety of individuals, organizations, researchers, and other stakeholders to better understand the landscape, potential advancements, and obstacles relevant to the projects it supports. The comments submitted by PETA’s Science Advancement & Outreach division are intended to improve the development of policies, guidelines, and initiatives related to banning the use of animals in experimentation and promoting the implementation of superior, human-relevant, animal-free research and training techniques.
